ISN Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 5, 2021

Inspection Support LLC (“ISN”, “we”, “us) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we and other parties collect, use and disclose personal information (as defined below) in connection with your use of the inspectionsupport.net website, any mobile applications that we make available, other ISN web and digital properties, our related telephone services, and the inspection support software and other services offered by ISN (collectively, the “Services”).

If you are an individual who resides in California, please see our Privacy Notice for California Residents (located here) regarding your additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act with respect to personal information.

By visiting or using any of the Services, you agree to the practices and policies set forth in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, you should stop using the Services.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect two basic types of information in conjunction with your use of any Services – personal information and information that is not personal information. “Personal information” is any information that can individually identify a person (for example, your or your client’s name, email address or telephone number or your username), unique financial information (such as a credit card number) and information that we link to a person’s unique identifying information. Information that is not personal information includes business information (such as the name of a business or the business address or phone number), anonymized usage information (such as pages visited, interaction patterns, device details, location and demographics), and any other information that does not uniquely identify a person. If information is not uniquely linked to a person (such as your usage of the Services if you do not provide us with identifying information), we do not consider it to be personal information.

From time to time, we may also aggregate (group) or de-link or de-identify (anonymize) personal information so that the information is not linked to a person. We do not consider information that has been aggregated or anonymized to be personal information. For example, a postal address would not be personal information if it were included in a list of addresses without names or other unique identifiers.

Personal Information You Provide

You may voluntarily supply us with personal information. For example, we will collect personal information when you:

  • Register for an account;
  • Sign up to receive information from us or open or interact with the emails we send to you;
  • Participate on social media accounts involving ISN;
  • Voluntarily provide personal information through the Services, such as uploading or linking User Content (as defined below) that includes your personal information or that of other people (such as your clients) or providing credit card information to purchase Services;
  • Otherwise interact with us.

In addition, as an inspector subscribing to the Services, you and your authorized account users (“Users”) may create, upload, store, process or transmit in the Services inspection reports, other reports, text, photos, videos, comments, reviews, feedback, notes, ideas, know-how, techniques, data or other information (individually and collectively, "User Content"). User Content may include your personal information and/or that of other people (such as your clients), depending on what kind of User Content it is.

Automatically Collected Information

Log Usage Data. When you interact with the Services, we or our service providers may automatically record usage data. These logs may include information such as your IP address, device information about your computer, mobile device, or other device that you use to access any Services, browser information, traffic data (such as time and date of access, access times, and referring website addresses), session information (such as pages visited, screen actions and other interaction patterns) and cookie information. We use this information to assist us in running the Services and ensuring proper operation and to improve the Services. We do not treat this information as personal information unless it is linked to you with your name, username or other unique identifier.

Cookies and Web Beacons. When you interact with the Services, we and our advertising networks use cookies and web beacons (sometimes called single-pixel gifs or action tags) to automatically receive and record information on our server logs about your online activities.

Cookies are small data files that your Internet browser stores on your hard disk or in your browser's memory. We use cookies in a variety of ways, in order to improve your experience and the performance and functionality of the Services. For example, cookies enable us to remember the choices you make and to offer you more personalized features and content. We also use cookies to collect information about use of the Services, such as the most frequently visited pages, usage patterns and interactions with ads. Cookies also allow us and our advertisers to deliver more relevant ads. For example, we may use cookies that collect information about your browsing activity across multiple websites, to limit the number of times you see the same ad and to help measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. Web beacons are electronic images that assist in delivering cookies, provide additional information (such as which ad you clicked on to arrive at the Services) and allow us to compile aggregated statistics. Information collected by cookies and web beacons may be associated with your unique browser, device identifier or IP address. We do not treat this information as personal information unless it is linked to you with your name, username or other unique identifier

Location Data. If you provide location information at any other time via your account settings, or if location information is included as part of the information we collect (for example, your IP address may provide an approximate geo-location), we may store and use that information in connection with your account. If you are using mobile Services, we may collect location data directly from your mobile device if your device allows us to do so. Your mobile device manufacturer or mobile service provider may provide you with choices about how and whether location data is shared with us. We do not treat this information as personal information unless it is linked to you with your name, username or other unique identifier.

Aggregate Information. We collect non-personal, statistical information about the use of the Services, such as how many visitors visit a specific page, how long they stay, and which links they click on.

Social Media Sites

When you interact with an ISN account on a social media platform, such as Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube, we may collect the personal information that you make available to us on that page or account, including your user ID and/or username, and any information you have made public in connection with that social media service. We will only collect and store such personal information that we are permitted to collect by these social media platforms and we will use and disclose that information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Please refer to the policies of the social network platforms you use to manage information that is shared through that platform.

The Services may include social media widgets, such as those of Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter widgets. These features may collect information about your IP address and which page you’re visiting on our Services, and they may set a cookie to make sure their feature functions properly. Social media features and widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Services. Your interactions with those features are governed by the privacy policies of the companies that provide them.
