Occasionally you may find a need to add more than one client to an inspection order. This can be done using the “Display Name” for the client. Just add the primary client to the First and Last name fields and enter both client names to the “Display Name” field. For example, if your buyers are ‘Robert Smith’ and ‘Julie Rogers’ your client’s information might look like this:

First Name: Robert
Last Name: Smith
Display Name: Robert Smith & Julie Rogers

Then in your agreements and email templates you can use %clientdisplayname% so it always addresses your clients in a fashion you control. Here is an example order form (using the example above):

We are actively working on a way to add more than one client to an order by providing a button to “add additional clients” in the client tab. As soon as this is available we will send additional information.

The following article will guide you through understanding screen resolutions.

The screen resolution of your PC, android or iPhone is two numbers that describe the number of pixels that you screen displays. It is usually quoted as width × height, with the units in pixels: for example, “1024×768″ means the width is 1024 pixels and the height is 768 pixels. This example would normally be spoken as “ten twenty-four by seven sixty-eight” or “ten twenty-four by seven six eight”.

The term “pixel” is actually short for “Picture Element.” These small little dots are what make up the images on computer displays,

Thus your screen resolution will affect how ISN looks. Exactly how it does that is explained below.

Advantages of a low resolution screen setting.
The smaller your resolution is set, the larger things will be on your screen.

Easier to read.

Often allows your device to run faster and more smoothly.

Disadvantages of a low resolution screen setting.

Can cause parts of ISN to not be visible inside your screen by “cutting it out of view”.

This image shows how scroll bars show up and some features on the ISN page are “cut off”. Here we are using a laptop with a low screen resolution of 800 x 600.

Advantages of a high resolution screen setting.
The larger your resolution is set, the smaller things will be on your screen.

Every part of ISN fits into your screen without scrolling horizontally and vertically.

Disadvantages of a high resolution screen setting.

Can make your device run ISN slower and cause pages to stutter when loading.

This image shows how no scroll bars show up and the whole ISN page is visible. Here we are using a laptop with a high screen resolution of 1280 x 1024.

Since your screen resolution has such an impact on your ability to use ISN, it is best to find the optimal resolution setting for your device. Trying out different settings will allow you to see which one you are most comfortable with.

To adjust your screens resolution please follow the tutorials linked below.

Windows
For windows it is very straight forward, please follow this article. Windows screen resolution tutorial

Android
For Android devices it is a little more complicated, but here is a full video tutorial on how! Android screen resolution tutorial

iPhone/iPad
For iDevices it is also a little tricky so please refer to this tutorial iPhone screen resolution tutorial.

Using Inspection Support Network within WhisperReporter

Configuration:
Select the menu sequence: Setup > Inspection Support Services. This invokes the following dialog where you select and enter in your login information for ISN.

Enter the information provided to you by ISN and then click the OK button (not shown).

Note: should you need to access your ISN account in any of the ISN related dialogs shown on
the following pages, simply click on their logo which will launch your internet browser and
take you to their website logon page.

Creating a report

Click on the New Report icon on the toolbar or use the menu sequence: File>New Report., which will invoke the New Report dialog shown below.

If you have setup ISN, you will see the ISN Lookup button in step 2 shown by the arrow above. Clicking that will interrogate ISN and list all available inspection “footprints”, or scheduled inspections that have not yet been drawn upon, illustrated by the image below:

Select the inspection you want to use to create the report for by double-clicking on the desired entry (or single click an entry and then click OK). After selecting the inspection using the dialog above, the information will be shown in the New Report dialog for verification as shown by the arrow in the image below. It has pulled down the inspection date/time along with the client and property information. It also retrieved realtor data, but it is not displayed here.

When you click OK, WhisperReporter needs to confirm that you want to download the inspection from ISN, which will remove it from the ISN queue. You can choose to not confirm the download at this time in case you want to download it again on another computer.

When you click OK, it will create the new report in WhisperReporter. By creating the report this way, WhisperReporter remembers that this report was created using ISN, and will give you the option to be able to upload the completed report to ISN later.

Uploading a Report

When you have completed the report and want to upload it to ISN, simply print the report to a PDF file as you normally might. When the dialog appears after the report has printed to a PDF file, you will see the following dialog along with an ISN Upload button (if the button is not there, the report was not created using data from ISN):

Clicking the ISN Upload button will invoke a confirmation dialog:

If you are satisfied with the information provided, click the Upload button, which will begin the upload process. Note that only the PDF copy is uploaded to ISN; your report still remains within WhisperReporter for additional editing as needed.

This article will walk you through how you can prevent access to reports.

Start by going to Office Settings in the Administration menu.

Next, Under Interacting with my clients and Agents, click Report Delivery Options.

Here is where you select the options that will force inspections to be paid and signed for before being viewed.

Now clients and agents cannot access your report without a client signature nor payment. This will prevent access to your report without the signature and payment.

Whats Zipping used for?

To squeeze big file(s) or many files into smaller files so that they save in email, hard drive and cloud storage space.

The files will be stored in a new folder called a zip folder, the files content stays the same, they just take up less space and after “extracting” the folder, the files will return to their normal state.

It is kind of like pushing all the air out of a ziplock bag full of candy and closing the zipper quickly!

For all Windows users

First, open up your browser and google “PeaZip”, click the first result.

Click the PeaZip button, most systems use 32bit on the left, if your system uses 64bit, choose the button on the right.
You will be redirected to the download page, click the second Download button from the top.

Depending on your web browser, choose to save the downloading file. Don’t worry, this one wont harm your computer!

Install PeaZip using all the default settings, this part should be fairly simple. After you have clicked Finish you should have a Desktop shortcut for PeaZip. Double Click it.

You’re now in the PeaZip program! Start by browsing to the file(s) you need to zip by browsing your folders on the left. Select the file(s) you need.

Once all your files are selected, click Add. A new window will popup, check to see that your zip files will be inside a new folder in the folder you selected the files from earlier.

Again, check where your new zip file went. Now you know where to find your new zip file when adding it as an email attachement, or adding it to dropbox.

You now know how to zip files, that is a milestone in tech know-how, be proud!
